Jessica Lozano (she/her) is a performer, educator, writer, director and producer from San Antonio, Tejas. She is a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans and has performed in over 50 productions in the New Orleans Area. As a lead curriculum designer and a dedicated arts educator, she was awarded the New Orleans Excellence in Teaching Award in 2019 for her work with Exceptional Children’s Services at Mary McLeod Bethune. Jessica is at heart a storyteller. Moved by the powerful city that surrounds her, she strives to create work for the community that fosters awareness of social injustices, awakens critical consciousness and engages community members to become active citizens in a multicultural world. She is the local architect of the New Orleans Area Living Document which chronicles the extent of white supremacy in the local theatre industry. She is a facilitator for Equity and Justice for Institutional Change with No Dream Deferred, a trained healthcare clown with Prescription Joy, a member of Actor's Equity, SAG, and an ensemble member of Goat in the Road Productions.
